Old sheds deteriorate over time — roofs leak, floors rot, and doors stop closing. When a shed becomes an eyesore rather than an asset, Oak City Hauling tears it down and hauls it away across Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and the Triangle. We handle wood sheds, metal sheds, plastic and resin sheds, playhouses, treehouses, small barns, and greenhouse structures.

There are two ways to price shed removal, and unlike some competitors we're upfront about the difference. Haul-away pricing applies when the shed is already disassembled or collapses easily: $299 for a small 8x8, $465 for a standard 10x12, and $549 for a large 12x16. Full demolition plus haul-away — where our crew tears down a standing structure and removes every piece — runs $650–$950 for a typical 10x12, depending on construction and access. If a quote you got elsewhere sounds too good, ask whether it includes the demo labor. Ours always says which is which.

Our crew brings the tools needed for complete demolition — reciprocating saws, pry bars, sledgehammers, and hand tools. We work systematically from the roof down, removing roofing material, wall panels, framing, and flooring. Everything gets loaded onto our truck and hauled away. We also remove the shed's contents — if it's full of old tools, boxes, and junk, we take that too.

For shed foundations, we remove concrete blocks, gravel pads, and timber skids. Poured concrete foundations require specialized equipment that goes beyond our standard service, but we can refer you to a contractor for that portion while we handle everything above grade.

We handle sheds up to about 12x16 feet. For larger structures like full-size barns, we assess on a case-by-case basis and may recommend a demolition contractor. Most standard shed removals take two to four hours. We provide a firm quote after seeing the shed (photos work great) — no surprises.
